Outpatient Mental Health Clinician
Job Overview
The Outpatient Mental Health Clinician can expect to engage clients in a therapeutic and healthy manner to build rapport; complete initial assessments, facilitate ongoing assessment and/or screenings to inform therapeutic goals and treatment planning; implement therapeutic strategies and interventions to foster growth, development, and symptom alleviation for clients through individual, family, and group therapy practices. This clinician would be responsible for crisis intervention and discharge planning. There are additional requirements for timely documentation submission and independent scheduling of appointments. Communication with appropriate team members is encouraged to address integrative care and interdisciplinary team needs for each client.
Duties:
Complete Comprehensive Clinical Assessments and treatment plans
Provide mental health therapy
Consult regularly with psychiatrists
Participates in staff development meetings
Manages panel & practice management within departmental guidelines.
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
NC Licensure in one or more of the following: Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC or LCMHCA), Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT or LMFTA), Clinical Social Work (LCSW or LCSWA)
1-year Master's level clinical experience in mental health required
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or service-related field from an accredited program
Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
Strong Individual, Family, & Group Therapy Skills
Efficient & effective time management and organizational skills
General knowledge of computer software (ie: Word, Excel) is required
